Description
During his lifetime, Marc Edmund Jones was one of the most influential astrologers of the 20th century. Today, he is perhaps best known for the Sabian Symbols. One of the techniques Dr. Jones developed is Planetary Patterns (aka ‘The Temperament Type’) – determined by how the planets are arranged around the wheel. We will look at the seven planetary patterns – Bundle, Bowl, Bucket, Locomotive, Splash, See-Saw and Splay – and see how they can be a powerful tool in chart interpretation. Each of the patterns will be illustrated by natal charts of well-known people.

David Perloff is President of NCGR’s Boston Chapter. He is a professional astrologer, with clients world-wide. He has given astrology talks for groups and conferences throughout the United States and internationally. His primary astrology teacher was Betty Caulfield, who was a student of Marc Edmund Jones. David’s writing has appeared in The Mountain Astrologer, Dell Horoscope Magazine, Geocosmic Journal, and Jornal de Associação Portuguesa de Astrologia. His website is: davidperloffastrology.com.
